It’s that time of year again: spring. It kind of caught by surprise this year, but we are so ready–especially for summer.

One of the reasons spring feels like it surprised us is we have been working to get new landscaping done at the TabyanInn. We hired a landscaper, Advanced Landscape, to redo our front flower beds and back yard.

They did a fantastic job, and we are super pumped to finish things up and make the TabyanInn even better. The plan is to get everything we want done before Memorial Day. We have some bush trimming and flower planting to do, but I think we will be really close.

And that is the point: be ready to relax on the Memorial Day weekend! The pool opens up, the house and yard will be beautiful… and we can forget about all of the stress in the world!

And that leads me to the other point: the food! I’m not sure yet what the menu for the holiday weekend will be, but I am leaning towards smoking some chicken or corned beef, maybe some ribs or even just going traditional with some burgers and hot dogs.

No matter what, we are enjoying the springtime weather, and looking forward to the holiday. We hope you have a great one, too!
