My sister first made these garlic cheese grits for us, and we have loved them ever since. We make them for our guests, and they always ask for the recipe.

  • 3 cups grits, cooked
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 4 dashes Tabasco
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 13×9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Cook grits according to package directions.

In a large bowl, add all of the ingredients, in order. Pour into baking dish.

Bake for 30 min.

Prep time: 10 min.
Cook time: 45 min.
Serves: 8.
