Last Saturday, Traci and I attended her cousin Tyler Wilson’s wedding in Hennessy, Oklahoma–and went to a wine tasting, too. It was a nice wedding, and we had a great time. We even found a wine maker there that told us ghost stories!
When we made the 90 minute drive up to Hennessy, we were not sure what to expect. We got there a little early, and found a neat wine shop, Vernost Wine. They make their own wines (pretty good, too) and have a cool bar in a historic building.
The most interesting thing we discovered is that they swear John Wilkes Booth’s ghost haunts the place–he is rumored to have stayed upstairs when it was a boarding house. They told us tales about other ghosts, too.
The wedding itself was very nice as well. It was in the local Catholic church (I discovered I’m the token Catholic on the Wilson side). Tyler and Kelsey were very happy and make a great couple. We’re really happy for them both.
The trip back was kinda long, but we had a very nice time–and would not mind going back to see if we can see some ghosts!
