Most people look forward to the Labor Day weekend so they can relax and enjoy themselves. I’ve been looking to Labor Day for work around the house.
Nothing major. Just yard work and cleaning. I’m not trying to kill myself, just start the TabyanInn down the road to being ready for winter. A big part of that is buying a better weed trimmer so I can clean up our ground cover. (To say it is out of control is an understatement).
Another thing I want to do is perform a good deep clean on the house. Traci’s parents are coming to see us next weekend, so we need to have the house in good shape.
And no, I have not forgotten food! We plan to make some of our traditional dishes to freeze or eat on through the week. A couple things we plan to make are some corn soup, pesto and beer-braised pork roast.
Even with all of this, Traci and I will not be so busy that we forget to take some time to go to the pool and just relax. We hope you have an enjoyable weekend yourself–whether you are laboring or relaxing!
